Huge congratulations go to Izzy who has won a place in the National Finals of ARTiculation. Izzy has made it to the final 5 out of over 1,000 entries to this prestigious competition. There have been regional heats taking place all over the country and Izzy will be presenting virtually at the final on 18 March hosted by the National Gallery.

Judge, Prof Richard Clay, profoundly congratulated all speakers, describing their presentations as ‘astonishingly good’. He praised all speakers for their astute visual analysis and for all producing such convincing arguments in a very short amount of time.

He praised Izzy for such an amazing and though-provoking subject, stating how it was not a topic he had come across in any previous ARTiculation presentation. He described the choice as an ‘audacious risk’ and Izzy’s presentation as very persuasive with smart references to theories of perception. He congratulated her for talking carefully and in a considered way about the design brief, which was all about Channel 4 not patronising audiences.

We wish Izzy the very best of luck for the final next month.
