In October 2022, we will conduct our next Nepal Expedition, following on from the highly successful expeditions in 2014, 2018 and 2019. During the trip students will be introduced to the beauty of Nepal and its people, culture and language, by trekking through the Himalayan foothills to our link school in Gilung Village, Lamjung district in order to assist in the completion of a sponsored welfare project.
Over the last six years, we have raised over £15,000 for the area we visit and this year we hope to raise about £7,000 which means each of our 17 participating students will be aiming to raise £450 over the next term.
Our flagship fundraising event will be the “Nepal Hill Race” at Exhibition on 28 May, where students and staff will conduct a short hill run with pack to replicate the conditions the Nepali people carry their possessions.
Please support our students and staff in raising funds to support the work of the Pahar Trust and enable them to proactively engage with charitable works in the region during their trip. All funds raised will be eligible for Gift Aid in the UK and will be made as a grant to the Pahar Trust (registered charity 1028469).
