Housekeeping Assistant - Fixed Term

Founded in 1802 and set in a beautiful Yorkshire valley, Ampleforth College is the world’s foremost Catholic boarding school, welcoming girls and boys of all faiths aged 11-18. Each student’s unique talents are recognised and nurtured within a welcoming community rooted in Benedictine values. 

Working as part of the Housekeeping Team and based in the school infirmary, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective service to a broad range of customers. Your duties will include maintaining the cleanliness of all areas whilst adhering to safe systems of work and complying with all Health & Safety regulations and preparing for and assisting at special functions.

This role is for a fixed period of up to 12 months, working from 9:00am to 3:30pm, 30 hours per week. 

The following is essential to be successful in this role:

  • Experience in a variety of roles in the housekeeping industry
  • Worked in a high volume, fast-paced environment such as within education, restaurants or hotels
  • Have a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to prioritise workload as necessary to meet the demands of the department
  • Awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Full driving licence
