Remembering Philip Lawrence (E66)

Last week, we remembered Philip Ambrose Lawrence (E66). After leaving Ampleforth, Philip began a career in teaching and later became Headmaster of St George's Catholic School in London. On 8 December 1995, Philip was murdered while intervening in a gang attack on one of his pupils outside the school gates.
Philip was posthumously awarded the Queen's Gallantry Medal. We honour his courage, his selflessness, and his service to others.
"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". - John 15:13
