Development Manager (Engagement & Alumni Relations)

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and creative professional in alumni relations, communications, and development to join our expanding Development Office at Ampleforth College.
This is a key role that builds on strong foundations: a highly engaged alumni and parent community, a well-structured team, full support of Governors and the Headmaster and a growing culture of giving back. Working for the Head of Development and closely with colleagues across Development and the wider school, and College leadership, you will help deliver and evolve our engagement strategy for Ampleforth’s community of support and The Ampleforth Society.
You will bring strong experience in alumni engagement, with a good understanding of fundraising too, and be eager to shape the next stage of your career. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic and targeted initiatives that connect alumni, parents, and friends through meaningful activities and communications, all of which support the long-term future of Ampleforth.
Your portfolio will span:
- Communications and publications (print and digital)
- Careers and mentoring initiatives
- Volunteer and ambassador management
- Events and reunions
- Strategic collaboration with the wider Development Team to cultivate philanthropic support
