CCF Contingent Commander

Founded in 1802 and set in a beautiful Yorkshire valley, Ampleforth College is the world’s foremost Catholic boarding school, welcoming girls and boys of all faiths aged 11-18. Each student’s unique talents are recognised and nurtured within a welcoming community rooted in Benedictine values. 

We are looking to appoint a dedicated CCF Contingent Commander to lead the school’s thriving Combined Cadet Force which is made up of an Army and Royal Air Force Section.  

Thanks to the distinguished contribution of Colonel Blackford, the CCF Contingent has built up a great reputation for being at the heart of the transformative Ampleforth education by its emphasis on personal development and service leadership. We want to build on that by this exciting appointment, but also to maintain the strong links with CCFs in the maintained sector and within the North East.

The ideal candidate will exemplify the following; self-commitment, discipline, integrity and loyalty and respect for others.

The role is offered on a 40 hour a week, term time only plus 6 weeks [38 weeks pa] basis. Weekend and some evening work will be required.
