Catering Team Leader

Founded in 1802 and set in 2,200 acres of beautiful Yorkshire valley, Ampleforth College is the world’s foremost Catholic boarding school, welcoming girls and boys of all faiths aged 11-18. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our catering team who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, working as part of a lively busy team. Good communication and excellent customer service skills are essential for this role, along with being a strong team player. 

This role is full time and will include weekend working. This is very much a hands-on role and the successful applicant will undertake supervision of and assisting with food service and clearing duties for the provision of lunch and supper, taking ownership of maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, service standards and the smooth running of food service, along with the direct management of the team of Catering Assistants. The service operates a shift system covering a 3-weekly cycle; you will be required to work during hours that cover the service of lunches and supper meals. Operating hours are between 10.30 and 8.00 pm, shifts depending on circumstances.
