Flexible Boarding Options
Junior House is a vibrant home from home for our Year 7 & 8 pupils. From September 2026, we have introduced a flexible approach to boarding at Junior House to give our youngest pupils the chance to experience the benefits of boarding life in a more gradual way. The many benefits include:
- more social opportunities to connect and deepen friendships outside the classroom
- learning to live in a community and navigate social dynamics in a supportive environment, building character & confidence
- learning to take more responsibility for themselves in small, everyday decisions and grow in independence
- more opportunities to take part in activities after the school day, enriching their education and personal development
- less travelling time, and fewer logistical pressures each day - it can be a more stable and calm experience
- gently preparing pupils for boarding in later years
Please note: From Year 9 onwards, the options are to board fully, or be a day pupil (with the option to book ad hoc overnight stays)
3 Night Flexi offers the flexibility to select 3 boarding nights per week. These can be any nights, however, up to 3 nights must be taken each week and cannot be accumulated.
Weekly Boarding offers boarding from Monday to Friday nights inclusive. These are set nights and cannot be swapped for others.
