Success in National Writing Awards

We encourage our students to push themselves academically and intellectually, exploring and thinking beyond the core content of their curriculum. As well as bringing in speakers to school, and visits to talks and conferences elsewhere, there are a wide range of competitions which we urge students to enter. Two of those who did so this year were rewarded for their independent thought and research by achieving national recognition for essay writing in esteemed competitions.

It is fantastic to see our students taking on challenges, pondering important and complex philosophical questions, and seeking feedback and guidance from their teachers. Both of these awards attract hundreds of entries from across the country, making these achievements especially impressive.
