Duty Manager- St Albans Sports Centre

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Duty Manager to join the team at St Alban's Sports Centre. Reporting to the Sports Centre Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day operation of a busy, high-quality sports facility, providing an outstanding experience for both the College community and members of the public.
Working alongside the Sports Centre Manager and fellow Duty Managers, you will help ensure the smooth and safe running of the Centre. You will supervise daily operations, support staff, oversee the delivery of activities and events, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety
The role includes opening and closing the facility, supervising shifts, responding to operational issues, and ensuring the Centre is welcoming, clean and well-presented at all times. You will also support the growth of the Centre by promoting memberships, encouraging participation in activities, and helping to deliver a varied programme of sports and events.
The successful candidate will have experience in a sports, leisure or customer service environment, strong organisational and communication skills, and a genuine passion for delivering safe, high-quality facilities and services. A good understanding of health and safety is essential, and experience of safeguarding is desirable.
Hours of work: 5/7 days a week, 37 hours per week.
Shifts very between 7am and 9pm.
