Years 10 & 11 (2nd Form & Remove)
The curriculum for Years 10 & 11 consists of core subjects plus 3 or 4 additional subjects from a wide range of options.
Core subjects are English Language, English Literature, Maths, Christian Theology (Religious Studies), and Science. For Science, pupils can choose either a Dual Award (worth 2 GCSEs with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics all taught separately by subject specialists) or a Triple Award (3 GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).

We encourage as many Year 10 pupils as possible to pursue a Higher Project Qualification, a GCSE-standard qualification designed to help pupils discover the joys of independent learning, take responsibility for their own study, and develop essential academic skills. It involves planning, researching, and writing a long report on any topic of their choosing with previous titles ranging from - What effect does heading a football have on the brain? to Whatever happened to the pop-up car headlight?.
All pupils in Year 10 and 11 also continue to participate in sport regularly as part of the curriculum and take weekly lessons in Christian Living (personal, social, health and economic education which includes citizenship, wellbeing, and British values, promoting the ideas of respect, service, wanting what is best for each other, and taking responsibility for the world around us).
