Head of Development
Emma joined the Development Office in 2019 and has a life-long connection with Ampleforth College and Ampleforth Abbey. Emma has an extensive Ampleforth network, an in-depth knowledge of and love for the College and is an active member of the Ampleforth Lourdes Pilgrimage Committee. She drives our community building and fundraising initiatives across the College community, as well as keeping in touch with Old Amplefordians and Former Parents.
Emma is actively involved in the life of the school, spending time with students and staff to understand what an Ampleforth education means today. She also enjoys welcoming Old Amplefordians back to the College, whether it has been seven or seventy years since their time here.
Alongside her role in the College, Emma works in partnership with the Monastic Community at Ampleforth Abbey to support their mission through fundraising and provides advice to small Catholic charities.
Chief Operating Officer
Peter returned to Ampleforth in 2020, after a 10-years away from the valley as Bursar at Marlborough College. Before this, Peter was Procurator of Ampleforth Abbey & College for 12 years, overseeing a successful programme of fundraising and expansion of facilities during his time. A former parent of the College and a school finance expert, with a great knowledge of Ampleforth and our supporters, Peter brings a depth of experience and strong relationships with our major donors and advisers to support the future of Ampleforth College.
Peter is passionate about the Ryedale area in North Yorkshire, where Ampleforth is situated, and is a Trustee of the Ryedale Learning Trust, which operates four local schools with an excellent reputation in education.
