Fr Edward Corbould shaped the lives of thousands of pupils, families and friends through his life. His amazing capacity for friendship, his 36 years as Housemaster, his role in supporting families around the world, and his spiritual guidance have left a lasting impact that we will never see again. The gratitude for Fr Edward’s gift to us all is hard to express.
His wish was for his legacy to be seen in more children being given the opportunity he received as a young man to come to Ampleforth College. Fr Edward came to Ampleforth thanks to a prize that supported his education. His hope was that this gift would be offered to many more children thanks to his friends.
The St Edward’s Bursary Fund is the endowment established to see Fr Edward’s wish become reality. The demand for bursary places at Ampleforth College is very high, so with your support this fund will generate enough income to support a pupil on a bursary every year and will have a lasting impact and ensure Fr Edward’s memory lives on in the College. Every £1m raised in the coming years, to our long term target of £7m, will grant a place at Ampleforth every 7 years, in perpetuity. Our ultimate goal is to see one St Edward’s Bursary awarded in Fr Edward’s memory every year.
Please join us in making Fr Edward’s wish a reality by giving generously to his fund in his memory.
