Legacies

Leaving a gift in your will is an opportunity to support and remember the organisations and causes that have meant something to you in your life. Often, it is a struggle to offer financial support in your lifetime.

Remembering Ampleforth College in your Will is a tax efficient way to have an impact on the future of the College, whilst not detracting from the gifts you wish to leave family and friends.

We are extremely touched by the willingness of our friends to leave their mark on the College through a Legacy. Some Old Amplefordians have chosen to endow programmes in perpetuity, or restore and renovate school facilities, so that their name lives on here. Others make small but wonderful gifts that enable us to build our bursary provision and transform the lives of young people through offering them an Ampleforth education.

Making a gift in your Will is a very personal decision, so if you would like to speak in confidence about what matters to you, please get in touch with Emma Craig, Head of Development, who would be delighted to hear from you: evc@ampleforth.org.uk or 01439 741112.

If they wish, benefactors who have left a gift in their Will are remembered by having their name inscribed on our Benefactor’s board in the Main Hall. You will also be remembered in prayer by the whole school at our Annual Benefactors Day.
