Sixth Form Taster Lessons & Stay - Friday 14 & Saturday 15 March 2025
On Saturday 15 March we will be offering students who are looking to join us in Year 12 in September 2025 the opportunity to take part in three taster A level or BTEC lessons. Each lesson will be 30 minutes long and will provide students with a chance to experience the courses which they are considering studying. Parents are welcome to join us for the taster lessons should they wish.
In addition, we are also offering students the opportunity to join us on Friday 1 March for an overnight taster stay in one of our boarding houses where they will have the opportunity to meet some of their future peers.
The schedule for Friday 14 and Saturday 15 March is as follows:
Friday 14 March:
5pm: Parents to drop their son/daughter off at the boarding House, if taking part in the taster stay.
5.30pm: Supper with the House followed by time in the House to meet future peers
8pm: Year group social event at The Windmill
Saturday 15 March:
7.30am: Breakfast in Houses (for students taking part in the taster stay)
9am – 10am: Team building activity (for students taking part in the taster stay. This is optional for students not taking part in the taster stay)
10.15am: Arrival for parents and students who are not taking part in the taster stay. Tea, coffee and refreshments, and a welcome from our Head, Peter Roberts
10.40am: Taster lessons to begin on a carousel basis
12.40pm: Taster lessons to finish
12.45pm: Lunch
1.30pm: Guests to depart
