Assessment Day for Year 7 Entry 2026 - Saturday 17 January

Children who are considering joining us in Year 7 in September 2026 or 2027, are invited to take our entrance assessment on Saturday 17 January, 2026. This is an opportunity to find out more about life at Ampleforth, meet future school friends and their families, and secure a place at the College.

The day involves an assessment in English, Maths, and Non-Verbal Reasoning (for which no special preparation is required), an informal interview with our Registrar, and taking part in taster lessons and activities. Parents are also invited to join us for lunch. The day will begin at 9am and finish at approximately 4pm. To register for this day, please complete the form below. 

Please note that assessments for Development Awards (our Junior scholarships) take place the day before, on Friday 16 January. Children can choose to apply for Academic, Dance, Drama, Music or Sport Development Awards. Please contact Admissions for more details.
