St John Passion Concert - Saturday 21 March 2026

Please join us as The Schola Cantorum of Ampleforth College, the Ampleforth Choral Society, and the Ampleforth Chamber Orchestra perform J. S. Bach's St John Passion in Ampleforth Abbey Church.

Dramatising the Passion of Jesus, St John Passion is a powerful work based on John 18-19, known for its intense human emotion, dramatic narrative, and musical brilliance. The Evangelist (David de Winter) tells the story, with our other soloists taking the roles of Christus (Richard Wiegold) and Pilate (James Geidt)

The Concert will take place in the Abbey Church on Saturday 21 March at 7.30pm.
